This photo was taken by the author at a customers property. The only reason why this photo could be taken, and why the house didn't burn to the ground, is because the owner was an Energex employee and had his truck parked on the street. When he heard the explosion, he turned off the power from the street pole and extinguished the fire just in time. We have a solution to prevent this fire danger.
This photo was taken by the author at a customers property. This property didn't have a safety switch on the lighting circuit (as most homes built prior to 2000). Once installed the lights are turned on to make sure they all work. This downlight (shown in the picture above) was over the dressing table and tripped the safety switch. The only reason this house didn't burn down is because the ceiling was asbestos, and the timber frame was hardwood. Eventually the electrical fault would have ignited the hardwood causing a house fire. We have a solution to prevent this fire danger.

He rang the author and was instructed to turn off the main switch until my arrival. Had he not taken that action the house would have burnt to the ground.
